At the young age of 48 years old, I acheived my BSc (Hons) 2:1 upper class degree at Portsmouth University in 2019. Since graduation, I have worked in busy adult community teams and Hospital discharge teams, where I have gained significant experience of all aspects of adult social care. I am a very holistic social worker and truly believe in a saying I heard whilst being a student at at university, which states that, A referral is an invitation into a person’s life. It’s an opportunity to share in their thoughts and feelings, it’s an opportunity to share in their journey and help them make important decisions, which will affect the rest of their lives. I am an outward thinking practitioner, always looking for out of the box resolutions and taking the road less travelled to assist a person to achieve the best possible outcomes.
I am a very person centred and strength based practitioner, who really believes in the person I am supporting and their families. I am always open and henest, as well as, transparent when working with individuals and their families.
The Care Act 2014 is very clear on how adults should be treated and I will always apply the core priniples in every case I am honoured and privileged to help with
